THE ARCHIVE

Patek Philippe Calatrava 2481 Polychrome Enamel Dial

This exceptional Patek Philippe Calatrava 2481 features a striking custom-made Swiss polychrome enamel dial, commissioned by the former owner in the mid-1990s. The artwork depicts a forest scene reminiscent of some original motifs occasionally found on this reference. The watch remained in the same private collection for over 30 years. Alongside the enamel dial, the watch is also offered with an original, period-correct Patek Philippe dial in good condition. An Extract from the Archives confirms the matching case and movement numbers and the reference; however, it does not specify the dial type. When the extract was issued, the watch already featured the custom dial, and Patek Philippe did not mention the original dial, though they did confirm the watch. The overall condition is excellent. The case retains well-defined lines and a clearly visible hallmark, underlining its preservation. The caseback closes tightly and shows the correct engravings. The movement is running well, with only minor signs of oxidation. This is a unique opportunity to acquire a beautiful example of reference 2481, enhanced with an artistic custom dial and accompanied by an original dial and confirmed archive documentation.
