This Rolex GMT-Master ref. 1675 is a beautiful example featuring a gilt galvanic dial, very well preserved in all its components and completely original and period-correct.
The dial is of very high quality: the mirror finish remains deep and uniform, with only very minor signs of age, negligible and entirely consistent with normal wear. Overall, it is a very attractive gilt dial, still perfectly glossy, with a warm and pleasant patina, fully in line with what one would expect from a collectible 1675 of this period. The case is in excellent condition and has never been polished, with original bevels and proportions perfectly preserved. The bezel and insert are well preserved and show no relevant defects. The movement is functioning perfectly. The bracelet is not stretched.
From a period-correctness standpoint, the watch presents a configuration fully consistent with its year of production. The dial is an NCR (Not Chapter Ring) MK3 with low “Swiss – T < 25” signature, coherent with the IV.65 caseback batch and with the rounded-crown-guard case serial 1,334,XXX. The calibre 1570 movement, with “D” serial prefix, is correct for this configuration. The hands are flat, first-generation and original. The first-generation steel bezel with large knurling is also correct. The tritium on both dial and hands reacts correctly under UV light. Completing the watch is a Jubilee bracelet ref. 6251 with 55 end links and clasp dated 66, appropriate for the period.
A very attractive GMT-Master 1675 gilt, featuring a high-quality dial, an exceptional case and correct components throughout, ideal for the collector seeking an authentic and well-preserved example.
This watch has also been published in the book Rolex GMT-Master 1675 – The Gilt Era by Fabrizio Artioli, Marco Di Falco and Andrea Piccinini (Pyccy Edizioni), and was exhibited at the official Vicenza Oro Vintage exhibition in January 2026, elements that further enhance its desirability and collectible significance.
