This Rolex GMT-Master ref. 1675 is a beautiful example with a gilt galvanic dial, intended for the collector who values quality, correctness, and high-level condition.
The dominant feature of this watch is undoubtedly the dial. The mirror finish is exceptional—deep, even, and free from any visible defects or marks. In gilt GMT-Master 1675 models, the dial has always been the most important element from a collecting standpoint, and this example easily meets the expectations of even the most demanding collector, thanks to a level of preservation that is truly rare to encounter.
The rest of the watch is well preserved. The bezel and insert show no relevant defects; the case retains correct and coherent proportions; the bracelet is tight and not stretched; and the movement is running perfectly.
From a period-correctness standpoint, all major components are correct for the production period. The dial is an NCR (Not Chapter Ring) MK3 with low-positioned “Swiss – T < 25” text, coherent with the IV.65 caseback batch and with the round-crown-guard case bearing serial number 1,334,XXX. The 1570 movement, with D-prefix serial number, is also correct for this configuration. The only components replaced over time are the hour, minute, and seconds hands, as well as the steel bezel—parts that were frequently changed on these watches and with limited impact from a collecting perspective. Everything else is correct, including the riveted 7206 bracelet with 80 end links and clasp dated 66.
A very attractive gilt GMT-Master 1675, in excellent condition and correct in its main components, ideal for a collector seeking a high-quality example.
This watch was also used for the official exhibition held at Vicenza Oro Vintage on the occasion of the presentation of the book Rolex GMT-Master 1675 – The Gilt Era by Fabrizio Artioli, Marco Di Falco, and Andrea Piccinini (Pyccy Edizioni), a fact that further enhances its desirability and collectible importance.
