This Excelsior Park chronograph is an extremely rare watch, with only a handful of known examples. It is a model issued to the Swedish Army, identifiable by the three-crown emblem engraved on the caseback — the official insignia of Sweden’s armed forces.
Over the years, other brands such as Lemania, Movado, and Minerva also produced military chronographs for the Swedish Army, but the Excelsior Park remains by far the rarest and most sought-after.
This particular example features a stunning two-tone black and white dial with tritium indexes and hands, an oversized 37 mm stainless steel screw-back case with 20 mm lugs, and a finely finished Excelsior Park movement, among the most elegant and precise of its era.
The watch is completely correct and original for its production period and is presented in exceptional condition: the dial is flawless, retaining its original tritium luminous material; the case is in excellent shape, and the movement is currently undergoing a full service. The strap and buckle are generic.
A chronograph of great historical charm, rare and visually distinctive — a true collector’s piece for enthusiasts of military timepieces.
