Beautiful Vacheron Constantin reference 4218, likely produced in the 1950s.
18kt yellow gold case with stunning teardrop lugs — a distinctive case design by Vacheron, which later inspired a model from the Heritage collection.
The dial is simply exquisite, featuring guilloché decoration, arrowhead indexes, and baton hands. The watch is in fantastic condition: the case is extremely sharp, with a deep hallmark clearly visible inside the lug. The dial is in exceptional state of preservation. The movement has just been serviced by renowned Italian watchmaker Martino & Co in Parma. Everything is correct and original, including the caseback, dial, crown, and movement — the caliber is a rare P454/5B with central seconds, derived from the P454/3B with sub-seconds. Leather bracelet is not original, buckle is plated and generic. A wonderful collector’s piece from Vacheron Constantin!
