The so-called Omega “oversize” watches are highly sought after by collectors for their distinctive features: clean dials, 37 mm oversized cases, robust and simple yet durable calibers, and snap-on casebacks. Many versions exist, with a wide variety of dial designs produced by Omega over the years. This particular example is among the most recognizable, known to true collectors as the “Jatucka” model — the very watch Roberto wore on his wrist for many years. The dial is identical: Arabic numeral 12 at twelve o’clock, baton hour markers, luminous dots, and leaf-shaped hands. It was in fact Roberto, wearing it with effortless simplicity in his daily life, who sparked the trend for these watches, which had previously been almost completely overlooked. The condition of this Omega Oversize is excellent: it has a beautiful, even patina that adds an extra touch of vintage charm. The case, dial, and movement are all exceptionally well preserved, and the case still retains its original shape. A truly beautiful watch — one for true enthusiasts.
