Omega Speedmaster 145.022

The Omega Speedmaster 145.022 is a cornerstone of the legendary Speedmaster lineage, first introduced in 1968. As the first reference to feature the caliber 861, it marked a transition from the earlier column-wheel movement to a cam-switching chronograph. With its asymmetrical case, twisted lugs, 861 caliber, the 145.022 remains one of the most sought-after vintage Speedmasters. This example is in remarkable condition, featuring an unpolished case that retains its original sharp lines and factory proportions. The Long S&R dial has developed an outstanding patina, with warm, even tones that enhance its vintage appeal. The tritium indices remain intact, exhibiting a rich, superb patina. The movement has just been serviced by a specialized watchmaker. No restoration work has been carried out on the case, hands, or dial. Signs of wear are present on the case and bezel, consistent with careful use over the decades, but the overall integrity of the watch is outstanding.
