Rolex Daydate 18038 Untouched

The Rolex Day-Date 18038, introduced in the late 1970s, is the successor to reference 1803 and was the first in the line to feature a sapphire crystal, improving scratch resistance compared to previous models. Made of 18k gold, it is equipped with the automatic caliber 3055, which introduced the quickset date function to the Day-Date line for the first time. Produced with various dial options and available with either a leather strap or the classic gold President bracelet, the 18038 remains an iconic model in Rolex’s vintage production. The condition of this Rolex Day-Date 18038 is truly exceptional. The case has never been polished and shows significant oxidation of the gold in several areas due to limited wear over time. The original caseback sticker is still intact, further attesting to the quality of this example. The movement has just been serviced and is in perfect working order. All components are correct and original for the production period: T SWISS MADE T dial, caliber 3055, caseback signed 18000, and original plated Rolex buckle. No restorations have been carried out on the dial, hands, or case. The leather strap is not an original Rolex strap.
