This Rolex GMT Master 1675 is undoubtedly a piece with remarkable vintage appeal. There are evident signs of wear on the case and bracelet, as well as some marks on the faded bezel. The previous owner never had it polished and/or restored with replacement parts, and I certainly won’t be the first to polish or modify it! A watch for true vintage enthusiasts, stunning on the wrist, a 1675 with great character.
The condition of this 1675 reflects that of a watch worn over the years but never altered. The watch has been used a lot, as evident from the numerous signs of wear on the case and bracelet, but it has never been polished. The insert also shows wear and has faded over time, but it matches the condition of the other components. The bracelet is, of course, not in new condition, but it is not loose. The movement has just been serviced by my watchmaker and works perfectly. The dial has no marks or scratches and is flawless.
The hour and minute hands were re-lumed by me with original tritium from the era because they showed cracks and chips, and the luminous material risked falling inside the watch. Given the meticulousness of the restoration, both the hands and indices glow correctly under UV light. The dial is perfect, with no scratches or marks, and it has not been restored.
All the components of the watch are original and correct for the year of production: Mk4 dial, two-tone “fat font” insert, caliber 1570, case back stamped 1675 without a date, 78360/580/T-VC bracelet, and Twin Lock crown.
