What you need to know about this watch

The Submariner 5513 is one of the most beloved watches among vintage Rolex enthusiasts. Produced from approximately 1962 to 1989, this reference was offered in numerous variations depending on the year of production. Today, it is increasingly difficult to find genuine examples in excellent condition, such as this piece featuring a Serif dial.

This 5513 is in exceptional condition, with a case that is most likely unpolished and retains its original lines, showing only normal signs of wear over time. The bracelet is not loose, the movement has just been serviced by my watchmaker, and the dial is pristine with a beautiful, uniform yellowish patina. No restoration work has been carried out on the case, bracelet, hands, or dial. There are signs of wear on the case, case back, bracelet, and bezel, but these are entirely normal for a watch of this age, especially one that has likely never been polished.

All components are correct for the production year: Serif dial, Mk3 “fat font” insert, bracelet with 9315/380 solid end links, caliber 1520, and case back 5513 IV.68. In my opinion, the clasp (4th quarter of 1971) is also plausible for a watch sold some time after its production year (serial 2.3, mid-1970).

My watches are carefully selected and guaranteed for life as original through the ANDREA PICCININI Guarantee. This exclusive certificate of authenticity also includes a QR code with all the high-definition photos of your watch.
